Iconoclasts is a two-dimensional adventure that follows the classic design of 'Metroidvania'-style games, where you need to unlock new objects and places to advance through the adventure.
The first thing that you'll notice about the game is its excellent graphic design, with fantastic characters (in fact, the author of the game is an illustrator) and a 16-bit aesthetic that will bring tears of nostalgia to the eyes of anyone who enjoyed Super Nintendo or Sega Megadrive back in the day.
Once you're past the shock of first impressions, you'll find out that Iconoclasts is a really fun game, with parts that are pure platform mixed with wild action and crazy final bosses.
Unfortunately, Iconoclasts is not yet finished, as its author has run out of funding (you can make donations through his website). Still, it's highly playable and enjoyable, even if just for a few hours.
